IMARI WAS FIRST MADE IN CHINA AND JAPAN IN THE 1600's. IMARI IS SIMPLY A
DESIGN AND PATTERN USING CERTAIN CHARACTERISTIC COLORS WHICH ARE ORANGE, RED,
GREEN, AND BLUE. GOLD IS EITHER USED TO ACCENT MOST OF THE DESIGN OR NOT USED
AT ALL
THE NAME 'IMARI' COMES FROM THE JAPANESE SEA PORT IMARI WHICH EXPORTED THE
IMARI WARE.
THIS PARTICULAR DESIGN FEATURES A WHITE BASE AS THE BACKGROUND WITH ORANGE,
RED, PINK, GREEN, BLACK & BLUE WITH FLOWERS GROWING OUT OF A COBALT BLUE FLORAL
VASE. THERE ARE SONGBIRDS AS WELL.
